Lost Glasses

A lady contacted us to say she had lost her reading glasses in town.  We took her number so we could contact her if they got handed in.  A pair of glasses has been handed in but I am unable to contact the lady to check if they are hers because the contact number taken appears incorrect.  We would like to re-unite her with her glasses if she would contact us, please.

New Epilepsy Group for Harleston

Epilepsy Action hope to start a new group in Harleston in March/April.  The group will serve Harleston, Bungay, Diss and the outlying villages.The aim of the group will be support, guidance, friendship and social activities.  Those attending the group will be encouraged to join Epilepsy Action, the governing body, membership will include a quarterly magazine and other perks!

The group will be run by Julia and Kath Lister who have attended Epilepsy Action Norwich branch for the last eight years as secretary and accredited volunteer. Do you have Epilepsy, or do you have a family member or friend with epilepsy?  Do you have an employee with epilepsy?  Or are you a teacher who has a pupil with epilepsy?  If so, ring 07833795015 and leave your name and number and you will receive a response by 31st January.                                            Julia Lister

HARLESTON CHORAL SOCIETY

Singers Wanted!

Start 2009 on the right note! (Sorry!)  Why not come along and join Harleston Choral Society on Monday evenings.  Don’t worry if you can’t read music – many of our members can’t either.  This Easter we will be performing Stainer’s Crucifixion and the Easter choruses of Handel’s Messiah.  There are no auditions and music is provided free. The first rehearsal will be held at 7.00 pm on Monday 12th January at Harleston Primary School. Why not come and find out more?  You will be given a very warm welcome.
