As from Monday 19th July Steve Hammond will take over the role of Volunteer Co-
The Waveney Valley Responder group was formed in the summer of 2008 and covers an area based on Harleston including The Pulhams, Starston, Needham, Brockdish, Weybread, Fressingfield, Metfield, Mendham, Wortwell and Redenhall.
The group currently has nine active volunteers but would benefit from more people so a more comprehensive cover can be provided. Anyone wishing to volunteer for training by the East of England Ambulance Service can contact Steve on 07776 450091 or the ambulance service direct on 01284 731802.
In the first three months of this year the Waveney Valley group responded to over seventy calls and dealt with a range of problems including chest pains, stroke, angina, a heart attack, asthma and a diabetic coma.
