A grandmother telephoned the hospital and timidly asked: 'Is it possible to speak to someone who can tell me how a patient is doing?'

'I'll be glad to help,' the operator replied. 'What is the name and room number of the patient?' The grandmother replied: 'Norma Findlay, Room 301'.

'I'm going to put you on hold while I check with the nurses' station', the operator answered.

After a short while the operator said: 'I have good news for you. Her nurse just told me that Norma is doing very well. Her blood pressure is fine, her blood tests just came back normal and her physician has arranged for her to be discharged tomorrow.'

'That's wonderful', the grandmother responded. 'I was so worried. Thank you so much for the good news .''You are most welcome. Is Norma your daughter?'

'No,' came the reply. 'I am Norma Findlay in Room 301. No one tells me anything .'
